Govz ao Pé da Letras is a student-led agroecological agroforest located on the lawn in front of the Faculty of Letters at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

More than a cultivated space, it is a living laboratory for learning, exchange, and community. Students collectively manage the area, growing food and medicinal plants while promoting activities such as workshops, open classes, composting, and agroecology discussions.

The agroforest began in 2017 from an unexpected moment: organic material gathered for a cancelled bonfire naturally gave rise to edible plants, inspiring the creation of a community garden. Over time, it evolved into Govz ao Pé da Letras, honoring Diego Vieira Machado.

Since then, the space has become a self-managed hub for agroecological knowledge, where education, regeneration, and collective care grow together.
