Planting Water is an ongoing project focused on the (digital) expansion of an urban agroforestry system initiated by students in Rio de Janeiro through the GOVZ ao Pé da Letra collective.

The project combines artistic practice, agroecology, and research through the development of audiovisual and sound-based documentation, including interviews with participants involved in the creation and maintenance of the agroforest.

It also explores the creation of an extended reality environment, alongside a platform for written narratives and collective memory. This includes the mapping of plant species and the development of a database tracing how the local microclimate has been transformed through human intervention and agroecological processes.

The project further involves fundraising for the expansion of the agroforest itself, the construction of bioconstruction structures, and the organization of workshops introducing agroecology to the local community.
